B1ack_Mi16 67 Posted June 27, 2006 Could someone post the peugeot part number for the wishbone bushes as mine are knackered and I dont't want to pay half a fortune for new wishbones! Thanks, Just order the whole kit with 4 bushes + new bolts and nuts. Partnumber: 3599 07 At least over here it seem that the complete kit cost just about the same as one single bush if you buy it separate.. Wierd...
Super Josh 4 Posted June 27, 2006 It's the same in the UK, around £16 for the complete kit Josh

Super Josh 4 Posted June 27, 2006 The ball joint is part of the wishbone and can't be replaced separately. If that has worn then you will need a complete wishbone. Josh

Is there anyone that supplies aftermarket ball joints for the wishbone and how reliable are these if anyone has tried them? Is there anyone that supplies aftermarket ball joints for the wishbone and how reliable are these if anyone has tried them? Oh S&*t, exactly, get your wallet out! AFAIK you can buy the 2 inner wishbone bushes separate, but the ball joint (bit that connects to the hub) comes with a complete wishbone! what a complete waste! i have heard you can get the ball joint out and replace it but with what model's ball joint i don't know. i replaced 1 last year, need another soon, shop around though prices vary wildly Daz
feb 47 Posted June 27, 2006 Just ordered 2 new wishbones as I am fed up of one thing failing after the other and don't know when the other one is going to fail. as someone said you have to change all things in the 205 to get it reliable and then you have to start all over again! Daxed 7 Posted June 27, 2006 There has just been a thread on here regarding the immediate failure of a balljoint on a new GSF wishbone. This seems to be a rarity though and should be taken back as faulty goods. After some research i have gone with GSF wishbones but have replaced the bushes before fitting as it seemed to be the bushes that were the weak link in the GSF supplied parts. midnight motorsport 0 Posted June 28, 2006 There has just been a thread on here regarding the immediate failure of a balljoint on a new GSF wishbone. This seems to be a rarity though and should be taken back as faulty goods. After some research i have gone with GSF wishbones but have replaced the bushes before fitting as it seemed to be the bushes that were the weak link in the GSF supplied parts. hi there, i have had problems with lower arms, a bought 2 brand new ones from euro car parts, and within a week the rubber void bush at the front was f##ked!!, i took it back and they replaced it, but same again!!! i asked if they could get me some good ones in, but they said they only had these ones, made by (lisse) which i have never heard of!!!!! beware they are crap!!! even though the actuall ball joint didnt go, it goes without saying that if the void bushes were that bad, the ball joint would prob be cheap crap also!!! anyway, i have hunted around for some oe quaility ones, as peugeot want £120+ the dreaded! each, and i cant be paying that!! here is what i found......... gsf also stocked some make i had never heard of? but someone told me that genuine peugeot are made by febi bilstein? others say different? Anyway, i called febi uk, and a rep called me back, he was not sure if febi were the suppliers for peugeot? but they are the oe suppliers for vw and bmw.... so knowing that these are well made cars, that was good enough for me, he gave me a number to call, of a parts supplier that can supply febi parts, and it was all good, incidently they were only £3more each than the horrible ones i got from euro car parts!!!! £105 for the pair, as opposed to the £99 for rubbish. the number for the parts place is,-(All parts- 01442 868040) this is the watford branch, but very helpful and have other brances, the part numbers for febi arms are,,, 17786 and 17787, they can get them in, and are helpful. hope this is of help to anyone looking for some good oe quaility arms, but not at the rip off dealer prices cheers, jay
feb 47 Posted June 28, 2006 Well done dude for finding this; unfortunately it's too late for me as I just paid over 500 euros for 2 brand new wishbones, ARB bushes, and 2 engine mounts from peugeot. basically i replaced all rubber items in the front suspension to have piece of mind. steering response is superb again
