Got a feeling the 309 exhaust is a bit longer, somone will correct me if im wrong no doubt.

Exhaust manifolds are the same for the 309 and 205 1.6 - 1.9 .

you can just add a lengthened tail pipe to the 205 system, Did this on a old 309 years ago, Ford did the same on the Orion from the escort system as well

miles: i want to fit my 205 exhaust on my 309, not the other way round

dave w: i read somewhere on here ages ago that someone fitted an OMP system to there 205 and they had to cut a length of the centre pipe where it joins to the manifold section or something like that, but i just want to be sure, my system is still in its packaging and never opened, as the 205 wont be done for years, so i dont wana open it, only to find it wont fit my 309 and then have it sitting collection s*it all over it

anyone confirm the omp exhaust for 205 fits perfect on a 309?

I meant that all you need to do is add some more pipe to the tail pipe for the 309 as I;ve done this years ago and it worked fine. But with the length of the OMP one it might just fit.
