Guest tommtb Posted June 24, 2006 Ive found some brembo brakes off a 406 coupe, think its the V6 one. Does anyone know if they will fit in my GTI wheels on my 309 or are they too big? If not what size wheels, and what price will i get if i just have to sell them on? Cheers, Tom.
smighall 1 Posted June 24, 2006 Doubt they'll go under standard alloys without spacers. They just about fit on my 306 with superleggeras. There is less than 1mm of clearence between the caliper and and spokes.
Rippthrough 98 Posted June 24, 2006 Mi16 wheels have quite a bit of clearance, don't think it's more than superleggera's though.
Guest tommtb Posted June 24, 2006 so u mean space the wheels further out to get more clearance? how much did u pay for yours if they were second hand? cheers
Emmy Seize 8 Posted June 25, 2006 Peugeot Sport Speedlines will fit nicely over the Brembos. Just use the search option.... My set of Brembos cost 300 Euros off ebay. The speedlines were 250 Euro the set last week As an alternative, you could use spacers with the original 1.9 wheels as the offset is the problem, not the rim`s inner diameter. Kev-G 1 Posted June 26, 2006 As an alternative, you could use spacers with the original 1.9 wheels as the offset is the problem, not the rim`s inner diameter. Only prob. is that you would need something like a 20mm spacer.... My set of Brembos cost 300 Euros off ebay. The speedlines were 250 Euro the set last week Brakes slightly dear, wheels VERY cheap

d-9 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Discs are no use, as you need to use them with 285mm discs, a la 206GTI/307 HDI. Vaugely fancy them, but want to be able to put 14s on my car!
rex 1 Posted March 31, 2007 How come the discs are no use? I've just aquired a set of Brembo calipers complete with discs an pads ready to go on a 205 with 17"....
