P_205GTi 0 Posted June 23, 2006 ok when my car is at idle the dash and whole car vibrates alot and then dip the clutch and then it stops and there is a weird tapping noise when you let the clutch out again . now ive had this before when my gearbox came away from the engine but i fixed that 2 months ago. could it be this again or a wrecked lower mount? help please Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest cknotty Posted June 23, 2006 My XS makes the same sort of noise (though not as much vibration) at around 500rpm (used to have overreading tacho), and it's got a knackered bottom mount too, so it may well be that.
