kman1600 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Hi, Just wondering if anyone has messed around with non-standard bore sizes? I intend to compete in a class with an upper limit of 1700cc and was thinking about looking into an 85mm bore to give 1696cc, an increase of some 7% over standard. the_mighty_one 0 Posted June 23, 2006 hey yeah ive got plans for similar mod in my car: 1600gti - ive got a spare set of liners being bored out to 84.5mm and to keep the costs down im getting a set of zetec 2.0 pistons machined to fit on the gti conrods.
