Fitting A 4 Branch

Recommended Posts

I am on the look out for a magnex 4 branch for my 205 and have been reading that with the grp n bottom mount fitted you get lots of nasty vibrations in the cabin. Could you not just fit a nice new fresh oe rubber mount? What other options are there?

you tend to get a vibration from cold but it goes after about 1 min had 3 1900s with magnexs and uprated mount all done it but never bothered me was not too bad

as above really

the bottom mount doesn't introduce very much more vibration - it's mainly the top one that makes it vibrate more

the only way that could happen is if the down pipe touches the sub frame cross member.. mine did this when i had a knackered engine mount and a badly alligned mid section.. good engine mount, properly sorted exaust position. no vibration.
