Cylinder Head.

Bit of an odd question, wasn't entirely sure which section to put it in, so apologies to admin in advance.

 

If you havent got access to dips etc for cleaning a cylinder head, what do you use? Build up in the exhaust ports in particular. It's stubborn stuff, and i'm clever enough to know you don't just chisel away at it. :P

Oven cleaner is great at decoking but best and easiest method is strip it down and chuck it in a dishwasher when nobody is home :P

try redex or swarfega (look in wilkonsons for cheap prices). i used it on my throttle housing and it came up a treat.

pay a motor factors that have engineering shops the £15 they charge,

 

cheapest and cleanest way of doing it
