Wing Removal Tip Undamaged

Recommended Posts

A common questions on here seems to be, How do I remove a wing and How do I remove a wing without damaging it. The wing is glued on with hard bostic glue/sealent I have done 6 now and have found a great techneque which leaves them undamaged.

You need an electric jig saw (battery or plug in) and a hacksaw blade (as fine tooth pitch as possable to lower cutting force and best quality you can get as they are stronger which helps)and a grinding wheel

Grind one end of the blade till it fits in your jig saw then lock it in

This can then be used to cut away 95% of the sealant it might break once or twice but just regrind.

I tried all the other methods like hot knife but if you have the kit this seems best to me.

Hope this helps
