Guest soo Posted June 13, 2006 Hi I've got '85 year 1.6 GTI with 76 kw engine. But this is not enough anymore. Since '87 came out a new engine with 85 kw. If I have understood correctly, the only change in the engine was new cylinder head? So if I replace the current head with the newer version, does it increase the power to 85? Or are there something else to change like ECU? I have done some search in the forum but haven't find any topic like that.
