Thinking Of Doing A Bike Carb Conversion On My 1.6 Gti

Recommended Posts

What would I be looking for carb wise to do this? I can source things like R1 carbs, GSXR carbs, 'zaki Ninja darbs etc. what properties of the carb am I looking at, and am I right in thinking that these (image below) are essentially the same as 4 single choke carbs stuck together? My only experience with carbs is cussing and swearing like mad at a rebadged solex that kept pissing about in my old Mk2 VW polo, so I don't know jack, tbh.

ANY help would be vry much appreciated :D.

the for sale isnt approved yet, ring bogg bros in york for manifold, about 4-5 weeks waiting at the moment, or make it yourself, speak to Cameron as he's just done his :)

1.9, mi or 8v. the needles have 5 settings on the carbs so can be adfjusted to suit.

Does anyone know a link to a 'dummies guide for carb tuning' sorta thing? I know there's a lot that can be done by tning carbs, powerband movement and such and I'd like to know how to do it myself instead of spending lots of money every time I want something changed.
