205 Xs With 1.9 Wheels

Got some 1.9 gti alloys with 195 45 tyres and there is no scrubbage what so ever! even with 4 people in and a really high speed bump.

 

RESULT!

Mines lowered 60mm and rubbed with 2 people in. :P

well the wheels i had on before, were about 50mm too wide so rubb on the arch.

 

the 1.9 wheels clear the arch by literally a mm.

 

5 adults in the car with me n a mate bouncing on the boot!

 

that was low hehe

 

well chuffed!

Mine rubbed when I had speedlines on my old XS with just me in the car going round a corner quickly. They generally rub on the rear valance, so perhaps that has been trimmed or moved back slightly. Other reason maybe that your rear beam is seized solid so definitely no movement possible.

i doubt my beam is seized, the car squats under acceleration and has plenty of movement over speedbumps!
