Emmy Seize 8 Posted June 11, 2006 I had my mum´s CTI in for a quick brake overhaul last weekend. On the test drive I noticed the oil temperature didn´t work (my mum said it never did). Funny thing is that when I declutch to change gears while driving, the gauge comes on as long as the clutch pedal is pressed. Could it be someone messed up electrical connectors somewhere ? Cheers, Martin
jackherer 543 Posted June 11, 2006 the sensor is in the sump at the back and the wire to it comes down the back of the engine. If this wire is grounded to any part of the engine or body it will make the gauge go up so thats likely whats happening when you press the clutch (the clutch cable runs fairly close on a right hand drive 205).
