24seven 104 Posted June 11, 2006 Is there any sort of aftermarket manifold that would allow me to bolt on an air filter directly to it? Or is that only reallistically achievable with carbs/throttle bodies?

Or is that only reallistically achievable with carbs/throttle bodies? You're probably thinking about bolt-on filters over carbs/throttle bodies there - there is probably a cone filter or induction kit that would go straight onto a std injection system (try www.msport.co.uk ) but for the true "bolt-on filters right between the head and slam panel" look (looks are eberything right? who cares about performance )you need to ditch the std injection and have TBs / carbs... ...or have I missed your point ;-)
24seven 104 Posted June 11, 2006 no no, you've got it. I was only curious for looks' sake really. I don't like my K&N being hidden behind the passenger headlight, and thought I could encourage some cooler airflow if it sa behind the grill, but looking at pictures of my engine bay (which I should have done in the first place) I can see that I'm just talking bollocks... click me
rich_w 0 Posted June 11, 2006 Its a very diffcuit thing, i'm replacing my ECU with a VEMS ECU and look forward to dumping the airflow meter but I don't look forward to placement of the air filter. As it appears you are trying to improve the performance, i'd start with removing that ecotek valve
