Lowering 1.9

i just got a 1.9 want to lower it

 

would like it seating just above the tyre about 10 mm of the wheel :blush:

 

 

just like to know wot drop people have done... and wot set of spring (kit) was used.....

Heres mine roughly 30 - 35mm. Also running a 309 beam at the rear.

Heres mine, very similar to Al's lowered -35mm on Avo coilovers with 309 beam running Koni adjustable dampers dropped one spline. Handles very very well :D

Had mine lowered 35mm all round with koni adjustable dampers. handles very well and the setups only about £325 from larkspeed.co.uk

35mm sounds good

 

but the other thing i forget to say was that i've got the 16" 206GTi NIMROD's on the car with 205/45/16s

gonna change the tyre too 195s as i'm having trouble on the bac with with 205s

 

any1 with else with 16s?

i've got 16's with 40mm drop, personally, i wouldnt reccomend it. 35 seems to be that wee bitty better :wacko:

Personnaly i wouldn't go any lower than -40mm as it will destroy the handling as for the rear tyres rubbing, best way would be to fit the 309 rear beam and would vastly improve the handling. :lol:

 

Give me a shout if your interested in a beam :o
