here are a few queistions i need some answers for.

1) will the Mi16 engine fit? and what do i need to make it fit?

2) How much work is envolved in sorting the loom out?

3) what else do i need to know/do to make it safe

4) i have also heard that i have to make a custom exaust manifold is this true or will the standard one fit.

as you can see im a bit of a noob and this is my first attempt at anything like this.

any help will be apretiated and if anyone lives near wolverhampton who dont mind helping i would be gratefull and wouldnt expect you to do it for free.

Thanks

Have a search on the site, Been gone over in great detail, But I would buy a GTi as a base as it will save you money, You'll need Fuel tank, Fuel lines etc so allot of work

That looks like the older XY8 engine. In which case I don't think the engine mounts will line up properly. It could well be a BIG job.

Or with the amount of Mi-16's that have already been done these days its possibly cheaper to buy a finished conversion.

There's constantly loads on ebay for cheap but obviously you don't get the satisfaction of doing the work yourself and knowiing its been done properly.
