Does anyone have any photos or information regarding the layout of the vacuum pipework please - just fitted the engine but appears there are parts missing :D

Cheers

dont have any photos but last one I built had a vac hose from intake mani to a solenmoid down the side of the head at gearbox end. it went to the front of the solenoid. the top of the solenoid then went to a T piece which fed both diagphrams and the last one on the solenoid just opens to atmosphere. If yours doesnt work try switching the vac pipes around on the solenoid as it could be fastened on in different orientation and it wont do any harm just open the diagphrams early and shut them at 4krpm ish

Thanks for that.

The diaphragms were also mising from the engine when I bought it, but I have got it to start but will not respond to throttle and much backfiring. Do you know whether the ECU pressure sensor is connected direct to manifold or via another device ?

Thanks

Jon

its dirtect but has a little plastic cap type fitment inbetween and I cant see it doing anything at all. check the various plugs around the throttle body are corrct, IIRC there are 2 the same colour and fitment but for different things. If they are wrong then it will 'bork' with throttle open.

Thanks again.

Apparently that plastic thing is a fuel vapour filter to prevent the vapour from messing up the MAP sensor.
