Guest Tidybri Posted June 5, 2006 anyone know the name or part number for the arm that the clutch cable goes into? Mine appears 2 be bent now ive had a few problems with my clutch it finally bit the dust over the weekend but not sure that it is actally the clutch it looks like that piece of metal is now bent where it keeps that pin in place. The reces where the pin sits is now at a strange angle i will try and post a pic how it looks now. http://www.maxiboy.co.uk/test/front.jpg

Ahl 4 Posted June 5, 2006 I hope you get the part you need. Just a quick reminder though, no txt speak please: when asking questions or making replies, make full use of vocabulary and grammar which means that "txt spk" and "CAPS LOCK" (aka shouting) will not be tolerated. pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted June 5, 2006 Thanks Graham do you know if they are easy to get hold of? as Ryan said he dont think i will get 1 new? I bought one for my car but taht would've been about 8 years ago, best give Peugeot a call & ask. I'd be surprised if they had stopped making them though as there are still some cars running around on Be1 gearboxes. If Pug are unsuccesful you could try either Neat Autos or Peugeot parts. You might have to wait a while for one, if your local Pug dealer or any of the above can't help let me know & I'll try mine. Some just can't be bothered to search for 205 parts but my local dealer is a good one. Graham.
Guest Tidybri Posted June 8, 2006 Right had it all apart yesterday! was a clean break but not totaly snaped so i just welded it back together. Clutch cable is now sitting perfect under hardly any tension and the bite point is perfect. so thank god it wasn't the clutch after all saved me a few quid!!!!! Still need to do the gear linkage as the throw from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th is so long that it touches the hand brake. But im not sure on the best fix for this, is it gear linkage or fit a quick shift?

But im not sure on the best fix for this, is it gear linkage or fit a quick shift? Have you checked the balljoint on the subframe yet? Not the L bracket that is swapped for a quickshift one but the smaller one next to it? 13mm nut inside the subframe & 14mm spanner underneath the bracket. This is what makes the throw lots longer imo. Graham.
Guest Tidybri Posted June 9, 2006 UM no! Where do i find said ball joint am i going to need to get under the car? Have pm'd Miles about the gear stick he sells figure that would fix it?
Tidy_Andy 0 Posted June 10, 2006 Not another tidy trax referance? From the front of the car its just to the right of the L shaped bracket. Its what the other piece of the gear linkage pivots on. The 13mm bolt which retains the ball joint is located under the sub frame buried down one cut out holes
pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted June 12, 2006 Where do i find said ball joint am i going to need to get under the car? As described by Tidy_Andy but you can also see the breakdown of the joint on this page, its the one shown behind the L bracket. Graham.
