Guest NUTTER Posted June 4, 2006 seeing as the engine and gearbox are the same in my my 309 as a 205 , would i be correct in assuming the clutch is gonna be the same as well ?? and has anyone had any experience with this co. and their clutches ? ( i'm looking at the fast road version) http://www.techniclutch.com
Ren 0 Posted June 4, 2006 As long as they are from the same phase they are the same. IIRC the earlier ones used BE1 gearboxes and the later BE3. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Regarding Techniclutch, my mate has just bought a fast road clutch from them for his Pulsar GTI-R, they look like a very good part and techniclutch gave a good service. HTH. ( i'm looking at the fast road version) http://www.techniclutch.com The 205 and 309 clutches are the same, if you thinking of a uprated clutch I would fit and Mi clutch and flywheel as there bigger diameter

Guest NUTTER Posted June 4, 2006 (edited) how much am i lookin for an MI clutch and where's the best place to get 1 ? Edited June 4, 2006 by NUTTER
jonnie205 1 Posted June 4, 2006 no need to run mi clucth on an 8v the standard one will do the job just fine. I run a 190 bhp mi on an 8v valeo clutch and flywheel and its fine. Adding an mi fly is also adding unnecasary weight. Stick with a standard valeo clutch and thats all you need
