405 Haynes Manuals

is it better to buy the older (red cover i believe) or the newer one (blue i think)??

 

heard somewhere that the older ones contain more info?

 

need it for wiring diagrams and engine/plumbing etc etc

I've got a purple (1990) and blue (2000) 405 Haynes manual and the older one is alot better, especially for XU9J4 info.

Haynes are tight buggers when it come to top of the range models. Or perhaps the manufacturers tell them that the top models should only be serviced by the main dealer. 306 manual doesn't cover the GTI6. My dad's been looking at getting a Clio 172 and Haynes doesn't cover those either.
