Ren 0 Posted June 2, 2006 Hey people, I've got a quick question, I know it's probably been covered before but I can't find any info. Are 205 1.9 hubs the same as 309 ones? Reason i'm asking is because my disc retaining screws have snapped and I have a spare 309 Hub in the garage which would be easier to fit than drill the screws out. Cheers, Ren. inferno 1 Posted June 2, 2006 why dont u punch the screw out, or just dont bother with it? they arnt needed as the wheel bolts hold the disc in place
Baz 421 Posted June 2, 2006 Because it's feckin annoying trying to line up the disc with the holes, and the wheel when you're putting it back on!!
jackherer 543 Posted June 3, 2006 Because it's feckin annoying trying to line up the disc with the holes, and the wheel when you're putting it back on!! get studs and you can ditch the screws and never have to line up a wheel bolt again.
Ren 0 Posted June 3, 2006 It is a nightmare trying to line the wheel, brake disc and hub holes up if the disc spins freely, also while i'm building my suspension up I might as well put the decent hub on that I have in the garage to solve the problem. Cheers for all your replies. Ren.
jackherer 543 Posted June 3, 2006 It is a nightmare trying to line the wheel, brake disc and hub holes up if the disc spins freely like I said above, a stud conversion solves all these problems
Dino 3 Posted June 3, 2006 (edited) like I said above, a stud conversion solves all these problems But it makes it easier for thieving scum to nick your wheels........unless you have 3 studs per wheel with a locking nut on each wheel...... Ren 0 Posted June 3, 2006 Plus it's more money to be spent when I could just spend half hour in the garage and swap the hubs over. Been on far too much of a shopping spree in the last 4 weeks or so, my bank is gonna ring me sooner or later to see if my card has been stolen!
