Front Dampers

my car have just failed its mot and i think its a good time to sort out everything i wanted to get done anyway. was wondering whats the cheapest dampers to get on the front? i have group n top mounts to put on aswell. dont really want to spend loads of money on them. car will on really be used for the road and maybe some quarter miles. was thinking of koni adjustibles on the front but was wondering the best place to get them from? and advice will be great thanks. Just went through a similar experience - see my recent topic. tbh, for the road, it will partly depend on if you want it lowering as well, in which case all research pointed to bilstein streetline kits, or if not I like my sport (not sportline) shocks. Or you can just get standard OE bilsteins for very little money. Motor Sport World have a good online shop that lets you look at all the options. Bear in mind on a road car you want something that will last, so I'd be slightly wary of cheap adjustables - that's one of the reasons I bought my Bilsteins.

cheers mate. i managed to pick up a full set of gaz dampers so its ok. just wondering what springs will match them? the rear is lowered around 35mm. i love the low look but after handling now.

MSW list springs online, with various loweing heights. As for rate, it depends how stiff the new dampers are. Pleanty of posts on what rates suit what type of work (track, road etc), but it does depend on the dampers.
