Guest tommosbooks Posted May 31, 2006 Hello all. Our 1989 205 CTi has the most horrific seats around, and now the drivers subframe has snapped. We don't feel very safe. Do any of the later Pugs seats fit (i.e.206,306,405,406 etc.), as I can't locate any decent phase 1.5 seats? Many thanks, Tommo

Guest smokinslim Posted May 31, 2006 All 205 front seats will fit in the front, only cj/cti seat uprights fit in the rear but gti bottom bits will do. When i fitted my half leathers they were from a gti. I fitted the rear gti seat upright covers onto the uprights that were already in the car. Only a slight crease visable from the front. They are gathered up a little at the back but as there's next to no room in the boot its rarely seen anyway.

PS leather is not the best if you leave the top down on a hot day! Edited June 1, 2006 by steve@cornwall
Guest the boyracerrr Posted June 1, 2006 yeah lol you may findyour self either getting stuck to the seats or very burnt and hot lol
Guest tommosbooks Posted June 1, 2006 Cheers all! I keep loocking on ebay, but they all seem to have bad bolsters! There always seems to be a snag with every one i've looked at. The rears are fine, so I just need to track down a pair of good fronts. The subframes seem 'delicate' to say the least. Are 309 or 405 any beefier? Had a friend who had a bad crash the other day, so we are both feeling a bit wary of the little pugs ability to protect us should the unthinkable happen! I'll keep looking I guess. Cheers, tommo

Cheers, tommo Hi Tommo, I fitted a pair of 405 all leather front seats in my CTi - Yes I had to make up a couple of brackets (for which I still have measurements) so that I could re-utilise my 205 front seat frames. I fitted a pair of 205 GTI all leather back seats - Yes I had to substitute the rear seat back metal seat frames from the CTi in the GTI rear seats, but that was all. Hope this helps Roy
rooster 0 Posted June 5, 2006 (edited) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/peugeot-205-gti-conv...1QQcmdZViewItem click above and it will take you to ebay half leathers out of a 205 CTI for auction Edited June 5, 2006 by rooster
Guest tommosbooks Posted June 6, 2006 Cheers once again guys. i'm obviously not trying hard enough. I'll have a do at those. Rooster, have you had those seats recovered proffesionally, or did you do them yourself? roy, thanks for the 405 tip. I'll widen the search for them too. I think the CTI ones on ebay will do, providing they don't go for silly money... All the best, tommo
