Whats This Then?

i've posted up a pic of the back of my 1.9 mi block (hope the link works). i've circled 2 bits, i'm guessin the top ones some kind of sensor but does anyone know what its for. The bottom one is a 10milish bore with a thread at the bottom?? i havn't got a clue what this is for, can anyone help? cheers al.

Top left is oil level sensor.

Not sure the other one tho.

Preety sure the bottom one's the side bolt for the centre main bearing cap - there should be one at the front of the block in the same place...

 

From memory I think they need tightening to 25nm, but I can't remember the bolt/stud size

Try your local motor spares, from memory i think there a standard metric (8mm I think) thread.

just got back from pug, the bolts were £0.37+vat which didn't exactly break the bank. they didn't have the washers but i'm guessin there just normal steel jobbies.

 

On a different note i priced up a mi rocker cover..........£236 :blush: c
