ecksstore 0 Posted May 31, 2006 Some of you may remember from some time ago that I have been having probs with my MI16, being that it stutters, pops, bangs and farts When driving it feels like it has cut out then picks up again. I have changed the ignition amp, coil, fuel filter and pipes (they were rotten) After changing the filter I was at a loss as I was sure it was a fuel problem so I disconnected the pipe from the rail and pointed it into a suitable container, when turning the car over I got a normal stream of fuel for a couple of seconds then it diminished to a fast trickle then back up to a steady stream and so on. Do you reckon my pump is fubared? If so has anyone got one going spare?
Anthony 1,003 Posted May 31, 2006 Worth trying another fuel pump relay first IMO - it's the same as various relays in the fuse box, so quick and easy swap to rule it out.
ecksstore 0 Posted May 31, 2006 Which one is the fuel pump relay? Is it one of the two in the engine loom that sits in the drivers side inner wing?
Ren 0 Posted May 31, 2006 That's the one, i think it's the green one as far as i remember.
ecksstore 0 Posted May 31, 2006 I guess its worth swapping out the relays before I go and buy a pump
