jonand 0 Posted May 30, 2006 Hi All Can anyone tell me whether the 306 S16 (1994) has any inputs that will lock out the ecu. It didn't have a keypad - not sure about a transponder. Unfortunately it also says 'if fitted' and the accompanying circuit diagram shows the keypad in dotted lines. The engine i've bought comes from an early 306 S16 without a keypad - so I'm sort of hoping that there is no other facility for locking the ecu (the pin layout doesnt suggest any other form of locking input / output) Wishful thinking ? Cheers Jon PS Have now ordered new ignition components - failing that I will have the ecu checked out. Fuqa 0 Posted May 30, 2006 Jon ah missed that bit i wouldnt worry about it for the time being. get it all wired up and see if it works. i had the same prob on mine, was told it was unlocked but it wasnt. took 20 min to wire a keypad in worst case scenario is additional cost of ecu code reading and a keypad and loom from scrappies cheers Hi Rich, Your absolutely right.
