Gti Seat Subframes The Same As Base Model?

hi all,

Could anyone tell me wether the seat subframes on the gti half leather seats are interchangeable with base model ones? mine are getting very tired now ad need a bit of careful lifting to get the seat forward lol.

Yes, exactly the same. You can even fit the five door subframes if you wanted.

About an inch. You'll loose the tilt mechanism though as obviously you don't have tilting seats in a 5dr.

Only problem is the seat belt end has built in spacers so without removing these you don't get the full benefit & the seat sits un-evenly. With them removed you have to bend it out so it clears the seat.

 

With no spacers between the subframe & carpet moving the seat on the sliders get difficult if you are very tall as it catches on the carpet.

ok cheers guys, just what i wanted to hear as finding a gti in a scrappy round here is like tryin to find a needle in a haystack lol,
