charlie_sav 0 Posted May 31, 2006 The catcam ones are very good, very quick to get accurate adjustments, moving the pin between each hole is 1 degree of adjustment, and the the colour does not wear off that quick compaired to other makes, www.Catcams.co.uk
kate205gti 4 Posted May 31, 2006 i couldnt see a price on there charlie how much are they please?
Anthony 1,003 Posted May 31, 2006 Apparently the DW8 vernier pulleys are a straight swap onto an Mi. Certainly less elegant than the Catcam ones and don't have the pin, but they're significantly cheaper than all the aftermarket ones. I spoke to Peugeot today and got a price for the DW8 pulleys: 080590 - DW8 outer cam pulley - £21.01 080591 - DW8 inner cam pulley - £19.26 080639 - DW8 cam pulley bolts - £0.26 each (£0.78 for 3) That makes the total price £41.05 + VAT per pulley, less any discounts

Guest ashnicholls Posted June 6, 2006 Can the peugeot ones be machined easily to fit the 8v easily?
B1ack_Mi16 67 Posted June 6, 2006 (edited) Just get some offset-ground cam sprocket keys from petert. I found that so much easier to use, so my brand new Catcam pulleys will just be lying on my desk for a very long time Much easier to set the timing after cambeltchange and such when using std. pulleys with offset-keys. Combination of 4deg keys and (2) and (3) pulleys will give a wide spread of adjustment. 107, 110, 111, 114, 115, 118 deg lobecentres. Can't see that you would ever need to set the cams at more than 118 or much less than 107 degrees Edited June 6, 2006 by B1ack_Mi16
