make sure youve got various extension lengths about for your sockets to get at the 2 bolts(13mm) under the battery/gearbox mount to remove it. Makes life easier.

worth putting new driveshaft oil seals in the gearbox while your there and you'll need 2 litres of gearbox oil. generally the gearbox from pug is best and isnt too expensive (about £4 a litre). If its a 2nd hand box Id stick somke gearbox additive in to help keep it nice and smooth. Might consider putting new clutch cable in while your there if yours is old. Also is your clutch decent? What about gear linkages? If there old then they may twist when removing so worth swapping if they are, maybe stick a quick shift in as well. Hacve you spent enough yet as I could go on :P

Gearbox swap guide.

All pretty straight forward.

Recommended oil is 80w90 gearoil, GSF sell it so its not a specific Pug purchase.

Don't you mean 75w80? As recommended by pug/citroen.

My tip for swapping gearboxes would be to leave refitting the new oil seals until the box is back on the car. I mashed one of mine up while trying to get the gearbox on.

Yes, I mean't 75w90. Doesn't have to be bought from pug still & GSF sell some made by Morris.

Fitting the gearbox oil seals shouldn't matter when they are done, how did you mash it refitting the gearbox?
