Old Cobra Alarm Wiring

Recommended Posts

Rob Turbo

The merc I got last week has a cobra alarm fitted but no remote, the recipt from fitting is still there from nationwide car alarms with fitting date of 30/08/1989, alarm model number A-1425, it has the key code on the paperwork as well so I could probably get a new remote or two but that would cost money!

I have a Microscan alarm off an old car, with wiring diagrams and have started wiring that in using the cobra alarms wires so I dont have to pull the car to bits to wire it up, so far I've got the power and indicator wires connected but dont know what the rest of the wires are for!

Does anyone happen to have wiring diagrams for this alarm so I can cross reference with my new alarm or happen to know what wires do what?

Thanks

Rob

if i get time during the week I'll pop down fella, but usually you'll have trigger wires for the door switches, ground wires, wires to the C/L if it interfaces with it, wires for bonnet and boot protection and so on...

Sorted it, just pulled the car apart and followed the wires!
