inferno 1 Posted May 28, 2006 ive just looked at my 406 and realised the brake servo is on the right now im thinking if i could do something similar on my 309 ill have plenty of room for the turbo pipes! has any1 done anything similar? yorkdave 1 Posted May 28, 2006 i saw a 205 today at the french car show with a 206 gti180 engine in it and he had put the brake servo on the passenger side, i think he had used the linkage and servo off a 106 or other larger modern pug. I can't be sure what parts he had used but I know he was from somewhere near derby, as he lives near Shenpar who had done him a bike carb conversion kit. Why do you need a T28???? A T25 will work just fine. As a previously said, the Xu10 was never designed for a 309, hence your problem. That 180 still has a servo so I can't really see how that solves your problem. Having a servo on the opposite side to the pedal can't be a good a idea. I think that you're just ending up bodging around the fundamental problem which is the exhaust manifold. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

inferno 1 Posted May 29, 2006 my t25 has that s*ite flange, so would be rendered useless on a TT manifold. also, as those link bars to relocat the brake servo r in several modern cars, surely they cant flex much at all?? and the link bar will not interfere with the turbo as itll be too close to the bulkhead to hit it.im a welder fabricator by trade, and work as a citroen specialist, so whatever i do i assure u it wont be bodged just because i dont use a tt manifold!"!! inferno 1 Posted May 29, 2006 (edited) i think my turbos too big... thats the problem! as for the manifolds flowing badly, who cares, my zx was a 139 bhp RGY that was eating mi16 205s and vr6 golfs amongst other moters (on its good days), so im not that fussed as the 309 is lighter and handles better.
