I've torn the dash (and most of my hair) out! Tyring to find the two brown multiplugs which need to be cut and joined for the sensor loom. But all i've found is a 5pin brown plug?? Am I going crazy? The cars a 1990 1.6Gti.

Thanks.

I'm fairly sure i've read not all cars had them.

Check out a thread titled something like "no starter motor"

Cheers

they aren't present on early cars, but both the 1990 cars in your sig should have them.

On pre 1988 205s the sensor and starter wiring is on the passenger wing side of the engne bay and goes through the bulkhead to the fusebox area.

Thanks guys.

It's strange because one of the cars has the plugs as expected, the other doesn't!

As you say jackherer, the sensor/starter wiring does run along the passenger wing side, and some of the wiring would appear to go directly to the instrument panel.. What a pain!
