How Big Is The 2litre Turbo Throttle Body And Gt3 Intercooler?

as above... looking to buy a reducer on ebay... im sure its about 65mm... would 70 be too big in samco hose? also what about a gt3 intercooler? im sure thats 50mm... can some1 confirm these sizes please! thanx!

I used 63mm silicon hose onto the throttle body on my 2.0 turbo, no idea about the intercooler tho

Yep 63mm / 2.5" on inlet,and slightly larger on boost pipe at the back.

 

Whats gt3?,i have an GTR skyline IC,thats about 50mm thick and has 3" pipes.

Samcos are more expensive the larger dia. you go.I may have some going spare by the end of the week

 

I think 3" is recommended for 300hp and upwards.

sorry punto gt3 intercooler... it sits in the grill area in the second fan housing... i think it has 50mm pipes on it.its only a temp fitment, if it works ill have a bigger custom jobby in there with a unique one off bumper mod thatll look very strange to other road users! im hoping to cut out all the bends... the inlet will go straight to the intercooler pipe and incorperate an ISCV take off, Chav valve take off,and 5mmtake off for a random pip i cant remember what it does!

 

i have some 60mm mocal spare if u need it pm me with what u have or are likely to have spare, or add me to msn and send pics and sizes!

 

im aslo looking for the 2 90d elbows for the water pipe on the turbo about 10mm ID, possibly the 90d intake elbow on the turbo and possibly the straight coupling to the turbo boost side to ally boost pipe.

 

then ill need a joiner from the ally pipe that comes out over the gearbox to join to the intercooler again...

 

hoping to suss it all out and buy a job lot.

 

also need about 2 metres of braided fuel line! should put a wanted up really

so as you can see i have minimal airflow over a rather small intercooler to start with! so im on the hunt for another intercooler now as i dont want to waste money on custom pipework for this one.

 

the fan will be fitted within the engine bay as i intend to fill the gap between bumper and rad with intercooler!

That all looks familiar! However I run the standard GTI throttle body on my XU9 engine as it is bigger that the XU10J2TE one

 

Hmmm should I double intercool mine
