hub and strut are one unit on the 106's... not sure how they can be detattched but surely for those with coilovers the hub unti must be removal???

well not too bad done one side. i guess whacking the strut out is never the best job - at least you can avoid that - looks like you'd have to get coilover pressed in.

next side to go then rear beam - anyone know if it is the same at the 205 ? measure distance between shock bolts and 1mm equals 1.5mm ride height drop?

cheers guys

its none removable from what i know the coilover kit is welded to the std hub/strut set-up, but no more of an insight than that.

Banjo

The front is inserts that unscrew, the back..

Is gay! Uses little washers to hold the toison bars in, you'll see what I mean! And really shallow torx bolts which round off, have fun!

I tried fitting new inserts to my Rallye on Saturday. Total nightmare from start to... when I gave up. It's little things, like you can't get a socket on the top drop-link nut because the steering arm's in the way. And getting the top-mount nut off is even more of a pain in the arse than on a 205 (note to self: buy an impact gun). What really brought me a halt was the screwed cap that holds the insert into the strut body. Couldn't get it off, gave up, and paid my mate to sort it all and put it back together again. It's a fecking great little car to drive now it's sorted, but it really wound me up.... Grrrrr....
