Trouble With Cooling Fan!

Right,been messing around trying to get me fan working.The car just overheats coz the fans not coming on.

The fan seems to be alright as connected it to supply and is fine,how can I test to see if the resistor or switch is broken??

Short the pins on the connector to the thermoswitch.

 

Two pins shorted will run the fan slowly

Two pins shorted will run the fan on full speed

 

If the fan works then it's the switch, and if it doesn't it's something to do with the wiring or fan itself.
