just thought i would try and upload some pics direct to the forum.

the nearly finished wiring loom , just got to put the ecu plug on and a couple of other plugs on (probably wait till its in the car) and its done.

its amazing to think how much wire is actually there , its probably about 70m in total :D

no can't upload direct , tried , it seemed to be uploading and nothing appeared so i did it the other way

GSF! or peugeot, both are likely to come in a Pug/Citroen box..

eh???? :)

You know you have to change the wiring to get the 205 rev counter to work with the gti6 ecu. You have to wire into all 4 coilpacks with a diode on each one and then joing them up through another diode to the rev counter wire to the dash.

yes, Purflux is OE and best one to use IMO (and it's cheap as well).

Peugeot part code for it is 1109 N2.

recently there was a link to a website that showed a lot of filters cut up open

(they were for use on Honda IIRC) and they had found the OE one (also Purflux

incidentally, if i'm not mistaken) to be of best construction.

Purflux filters have an internal valve that prevents oil draining from the head. So the head is instantly lubricated when the engine is started.

got a little bit of work done today , finnaly got clearance round the mc by unbolting the servo and putting spacers in between to tilt the whole assembly up enough:

and after :) :

also got the fuel lines and filter in , i have relocated it the the inner wing as space was real tight around the back.

i was also hoping to get the header tank and associated pipework fitted today but brought the wrong size fittings at b&q , so that will have to wait.

no i haven't , but you cant really see them anyway.

from inside the car i loosened all the bolts that are visible for the servo mount , then levered the mc up and wedged it , then slid in as many spacers as possible in the gap between the bulkhead and the servo from inside the car . then just tightened the bolts back up.

i used the plastic seat mounts that i found lying around the garage, so i guess they are about 10mm thick .

i think though when i go back to work i will get a peice of 10mm bar and cut that to lenght to fit along the whole of the gap to make it more secure .

i think the best way though if you have the engine out would be to remove the servo completly and put spacers on the lower bolts so you can proper tighten them up.

wish i had done it to mine but i can't be arsed to take the engine back out now :)

cheers tris, yeah i went round this morning fully prepared to start chopping mounts and lowering the engine etc. , but it all went well :P

i should have the tb's early in the new year so just need to fabricate mounts etc for them an then it might actually run :(

got my gsxr throttle bodies today , brought the twin set up instead of the individual ones :o , but not too worry they will work :D .

just set about stripping them and found that they had a second set of butterflies at the front end of the tb's which seem to be operated by means of an electric actuator thingy.

junked them (hope they were not needed ) and have set about tapping the injector holes to block them off.

the bodies themselves are a little too close together for the manifold , but i think they will fit after i have taken some material off the manifold tubes , still might have to have the rubber hoses at a slight angle though.

check out the pics on my page

click me!!

it really is starting to come together :(

made some more progress on the TB'S today , between changing nappies and making bottles

got the bodies correctly spaced and fixed together , filled the injector holes and the holes left by removing the extra butterflies.

also fitted a std 8v cable attachment thingy to the bike spindle , should give me better/smoother throttle response.

check it out

cheers , the interior is stripped and caged , the brakes will be either 306 dturbo/307hdi/gti6 but i need 1.9 hubs first. not sure on suspension yet though.

got the tb's on the motor today(in the rain in a leaky garage) , space is tight and i don't think i will be able to shut the bonnet  . still a few choice avaiable like cutting a hole in the bonnet ( sounds good for cold air feed ) or re-angling the fanimould . dunno yet just chuffed to actually get them on the motor :)

check it out:
