ScoobyJawa 23 Posted May 21, 2006 Since I'm a lazy get and the car is a 5 min walk away in the rain!! I need a new front drivers side caliper for my Nov 1990 Phase 2 1.9. Does anyone know if its likely to be Girling or Bendix without looking - eg did they use 1 type up to a certain date and then change or was it a mix all the way through? So it wouldn't be a 1.9 caliper then? Although I've never seen a 1.9GTi with Bendix type brakes, you can buy bendix pads for a 1.9 so I presume some must have been fitted with them. I've asked Peugeot about it and apparently the production lines would often use whichever suitable part was nearest to hand, so there is no pattern as to which used the Bendix type calipers.
