Pug's On The Rollers

I went along to a club dyno day/morning today in South Wales.

Only 1 205 went on the rollers, but it made good power and came away with a touch more than 170BHP!

MI16 of course but not a bad effort.

Star of the day was a 306 gti6 which made much more than std. A factor in the figures today was air temps which while it was a cool day seemed a bit high, and therefore added a bit to the corrected power.

Of interest was the S16 motors which made good power and torque and look more and more the engine of choice, the cat makes a big difference as the 405 cat model was down on power compared to the 306 non cat and it all felt a bit flat untill 4k according to the RR operator.

A good varity of cars and spread of figures. :D

the 405 was my old 405 :D .

the cat on the car is just an empty box.

sounds like the acav system wasnt working properly with a flat spot.

p.s when i had the car it was abit down on power(148bhp i think) but had 144lb ft of torque.

anyway sounds like all the cars were making good power.

Yeah, the 405 had a couple of issues but didn't shame itself. I asked the owner if it had a cat he said yes so i put the lower power output down to that.

Both s16 mi's were still making power when the limiter cut in, which was a shame it also effects the coast down losses.

yea he said that the computer showed 146bhp bouncing of the limiter but 157bhp on the graph.
