Dyno Day For 300 Hp Turbo

Recommended Posts

boeseturbo

Hey friends of the night :(

My car is nearly finished (will got TÜV (yes I´m a German) next month)... for 3 weeks we do the dyno-trimming of motronic (with upgraded MAP-Sensor up to 250 kpa)...

- 2L Turbo engine from Citroen XM

- Custom Made Exhaust manifold

- Custom Made Inlet manifold with 80mm tb

- machined head

- GT2860R turbo (this one)

- 3" V4A downpipe

- 2,5" exhaust from 200cell metall-cat with 2 absorber mufflers (selfmade)

- watercooled PWR-Chargecooler with second water-cycle and own radiator (no place for air/air ic)

- water-injection (230ccm)

- Ford Injectors 440ccm

- Sachs clutch (organic racing pads) with OMP pressureplate

- squential blow-off (make sounds like whippings :))))

- Brembo 4 pot with 283x26 discs

- OZ Racing Supertourismo 7x16, with 195/40R16 Toyos

- thread-suspension

- and much more :)

We´ve got 200 KW at 5100 RPM and then wheel-spins without ending :)... I think it will make about ~ 220 KW at 1,5 bar... More we can´t measure... have to try it with slicks :D...

Alexander who makes the engine-management-software has exudation in the face while testdriving :))), and I was smiling all the time :D

view pics for you (yes I know, car is very under construction, will do rest of work in the next weeks)...

Turbocharged Sorrento's - gotta love 'em! :(

Look forward to finding out what results you get after it's been mapped properly.

Anymore details on the sequential dump-valve?

Good work! going to be interesting to see the results, but wouldn't a 2.5" inch exhuast be a little restrcive for your spec?

Hey,

that sure looks like a DP-engineering setup those parts you are using (intake and exhaust header!!) that charge cooler looks fairly small to me... sure woud like to see a dyno printout off your run cause then i know where i am at with my setup

I think the short PWR IC is rated to 250-280 hp as far as I remember.

Mine is a bit longer and is rated for 300hp

@ Jan -> What size water pump are you using for the PWR intercooler ?? and which cooling radiator are you using??

My water pump is rated to 26L/minute at Ø20mm, but having the T16 cooling radiator (very high resistance and narrow flow) I am a littel concerned that it might not cycle the water fast enough.

@Jan: It seems to be a pretty good setup. Congratulation! I hope you can trust your luck, while trying to get your MOT approval. Your passion for the 205 seems to be unlimited ... that is, what we've got in common. And what makes me appreciate your work. Good luck!

Bye Dandu

For any setup over 250hp I would change the throttle. It is very small standard. I have used the 58mm (inner diameter) from the 2.0 XS N/A engine.

does this bolt straight to the standard xu10j2t inlet manifold?

Yes, but you will have to machine the inner diameter of the manifold to have it fit 58mm. However again I would newer use the standard 10j2t above 250hp. THe two runners are way to narrow.
