I was intrested in having the discs on the rear from a 1.9.... Is it worth it? if it is.... I would have to swap the rear beams I assume, does anyone know if this will bolt straight on? I would have to swap the rear beams I assume, does anyone know if this will bolt straight on? the whole 1.9 setup just bolts straight on. as its what i used to have on my xs.. front 1.9 gti brakes and rear 1.9 disks beam. all standard apart from brembo disks and the amount of stopping power was unreal!! jackherer 543 Posted May 19, 2006 its not worth upgrading rear drums to discs, but it is worth upgrading an XS beam to a 1.9 beam for the thicker ARB and torsion bars so just look at the discs as an added bonus if you're into that kind of thing. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
danpug 1 Posted May 19, 2006 I personally wouldn't bother going for rear disks, i've tried both and currently have a 1.9 beam on mine now and can't feel any difference in braking. Definitely worth replacing yours with a gti beam though. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
