methebmxer 0 Posted May 17, 2006 Im in the process of cleaning up a 1.9 engine before swapping it with the knackered origonal in my car and today while I was removing the injector rail I managed to pull one of the the injectors away from the engine instead of just popping the rail off of it. So my question is...how easy should it be for this to happen as I did'nt think I pulled it that hard haha, and is it a problem or can I just push it back in and let the rail hold it when its all back together or do I need to fix it in some way?. pug_life 0 Posted May 17, 2006 they have an o ring of rubber to seal them into the inlet so make sure that is still on the end of injector tip. they do push in and pull out don't worry although only when you unbolt the fuel rail from inlet to allow movement
methebmxer 0 Posted May 17, 2006 Thanks pug life, I consider myself to have a fair amount of common sense and so came to this conclusion upon closer inspection but I have learnt many a valuable lesson from jumping to conclusions so thought it best to ask the forum. Cheers for the speedy reply
