mak 0 Posted May 17, 2006 (edited) Give me an engine in bits and i can put it back together in a day, ask me to wire in a crossover and i'm stuck the crossover has seven tags, a + and - labelled 'in' (ok this is obvious), 'fw' (which i persume is mid range), 'tw' (which i persume is tweets) and a single '-3db' (which I persume is paired with the '-3db' on the other channel to signal a sub? Can someone please tell me if I'm being a pleb....thanks! Edited May 17, 2006 by mak
Super Josh 4 Posted May 17, 2006 You're on the right lines with the 'in', 'fw' and 'tw'. But the '-3dB' can be used instead of the 'tw' and this reduces the tweeter to half volume, because they can sound a little 'bright' in certain locations and for some peoples preference. Try then both and see which one you prefer. HTH, Josh
