Recommended Posts

Whenever i go to start from cold it takes a minute at least before the engine finally fires over and idles, pumping the accelerator helps slightly sometimes but not all the time, yet when its warm will fire over first time immediatley. Tried new plugs rotor arm and dizzy cap but no luck yet, also retracked afm and cleaned SAD. Car is standard h reg 1.6, help as this is really starting to annnoy me !!

stem seals seeping a bit of oil in when stood a while or fuel pressure dropping right down and taking a while to build back up.

I had a split in a rubber grommet on my fuel pump. So after a few hours etc it lost pressure and required a lot of turning to get fuel to the injectors.

Just to the right of the jubile clip is the split (basically centre of picture).

Does sound like a failing pump, try cracking off the fuel line and wizz it over into a bottle or something, if its a small dribble theres your problem.
