2lt Turbo Keypad

i've got a 406 2.0 lt turbo

 

i went to start it this mornin and the battery was died

 

set it on charge and now the key pad will have the red and green light both on at the same time and wont start the car...

 

does the code reset it the battery dieds or wot????

 

if you enter the code in wrong a few time will it lock you out????

 

PLEASE HELP

 

was hoping to have the engine in the 205 this weekend :rolleyes:

no, but if a temporary (valet) code has been set and thats what you were using then it may now only work using the main code, this happened to me a few weeks ago.

 

if you enter the code in wrong a few time will it lock you out????

 

yes, three times I think, but (in my xantia anyway) it beeps constantly while you are locked out.

god ur impatient shak :blush:

 

u can get the ecu code read if needs be.. bout 50quid.... but as jack says... just hold fire and see if u can put the code in later

or if the keypad is still locking you out, unplug the keypad multiplug then leave it 30 secs, then plug back in and try again. Should work and allow you to enter the code. If it still doesn't work disconnect the battery for 30 mins, then it will definitly work.

 

EDIT - sorry just re-read your post, if the battery isn't fully charged at 12.6 volts + the keypad will not function correctly. The battery needs to be fully charged!

cheers boys got it workin

 

charged the battery up and disconnected the battery for an hour..

 

connected it all back up, put the code in and it worked :D

 

well happy now
