Pug_101 0 Posted May 16, 2006 I used them on my Volvo and they seemed a little brighter, they are bigger so maybe that's what makes them look different. Got through a MOT with them also. Mainly they will last longer (Volvo's always have 1 light out ) and they come in red also.
jackherer 543 Posted May 16, 2006 LEDs respond much faster than bulbs so they are particularly suited to brake lights.
fast lane 0 Posted May 16, 2006 I bought some from CAF for the rear, i think there is about 11 or 12 led's in each unit. Looked the biz until i fitted them. They work well, response times etc great, but failed to reflect off the bulb holder suficiently in my opinion. (phase 2 clusters) I tried with and without, and decided to stay with the normal bulbs as they were a lot brighter when in the light cluster, and i think safer. Think the problem is that the LED light shines straight out, where as a normal bulb emits light all round and therefore lights up the silver backing better.
