Lecky Windows?

Recommended Posts

Leon C

I been having a bit of trouble with the electric windows for a while now: They go down easy enough but take some frantic door banging and switch pressing to get em to wind back up again, and now the passenger side is also started doing it! I know its more than likely the motors, so I was thinking about ditching them and putting manual ones on instead!

Anyone else gone back to manual?

mine's doing this as well

i guess it's possible to convert to manual windows, but i'd have thought there's every chance the channel that the glass is bonded to is different (ie. you might need new glass too) - as i assume there'll be a different winding mechanism

prepared to be shot down '205gtidrivers stylee' if this isn't the case though

i'm just going to replace the motor on mine ... eventually

straight swap...basically the motor is attached to a manual arm (ish).

Tried siliconing sparaying down the side channels and greasing the pivot points?
