stealth_pug 0 Posted May 12, 2006 Iv just ftted bilstein streetline GTI struts with 35mm lowered springs to my base model and am wondering what to do on the rear. Obviously I will need to lower it to compensate the front being lowered. Can anyone recommend what dampers to replace the stock with to make it stiffer at the back. Ahl 4 Posted May 12, 2006 You'll want standard gti dampers on the back, along with a gti spec beam with gti spec torsion bars. This will give you a nice setup to match the front. The bilstein streetline rears aren't very good unfortunately, so your better off with OE pug shocks.
stealth_pug 0 Posted May 13, 2006 Thanks for that. If i buy a complete GTI beam will it have all of that included?? This will also give me a good brake upgrade as the GTI has discs on the back doesnt it??

Only the 1.9's have discs as standard. It will depend on who is selling the beam as to whether it will come with dampers or not.
