Removing Sunroof? How?

Hi All,

 

My car is nearly ready for it's respray I need to get the sunroof assembly out to paint the roof. Can anyone tell me how to remove it please? Don't want to break anything!

For sliding sunroof taken from Haynes;

 

Removal

1 Working inside the car, remove the roof

console. Then remove the screws from the

sunroof handle and latch.

2 From outside the car, remove the front

cover and the corner screws.

3 Slide off the side covers to the rear, while

exerting outward pressure.

4 Remove the rear stops, then withdraw the

sunroof rearwards. Take care not to damage

the top edge of the tailgate.

Just to add if you want to remove everything including the runners you will probably need to replace some of the torx screws. When I removed mine 4-5 broke and left the screw part in the rivit. You will then need to drill these out and replace them. These are not cheap from peugeot!!!

Yep, need the whole bloody thing out. How do the black plastic mouldings come out around the sunroof? I have tried pulling on the but they feel like they are going to break off!

Give them a sharp pull toward the back quarter of the car, sort of diagonally. Should do the trick
