Edp 67 3 Cars Posted May 11, 2006 As the title suggests im after a couple of pictures of the 307 brake upgrade with standard hoses. Im sure there was thread where bonzai had some pics but ive searched and searched and got bored. Im interested to see how tight the hoses are and whether its worth getting braided ones. Cheers Ed
pug_life 0 Posted May 11, 2006 just fitted mine and they are a little tight on full turn but i just moved rubber sleeve until they were ok at full lock.. can get some pics tonight if you want i just used 1.9 hoses from peugeot as rally design were going to take a while to get mine ready in braided stainless. Bonzai 2 Posted May 11, 2006 i actually plan to fit braided hoses to my 307 conversion in the next week or so. i got some made up by rally design, they were meant to be copies of the goodridge ones, but from memory, they are actually a bit longer (id need to check to be certain). they cost me £21 + vat + p&p for the pair
mak 0 Posted May 11, 2006 (edited) bonzai any chance you have an order no. or the likes to save me having to try and explain i'm fitting 307 brakes to a 205 bla bla bla Edited May 11, 2006 by mak
TEKNOPUG 3 Posted May 11, 2006 I fitted mine with standard Goodrich hoses and they are fine...although the MoT people think otherwise (even though they passed them last year!). So I need to get some longer ones also.
nick 3 Posted May 11, 2006 Instead of longer hoses why not buy 45 degree swivel fitting (or something similar) to go between the copper brake line (or caliper) and the braided hose? Goodridge do all sorts of fittings which should give about an extra inch or so. Nick
Dixon 1 Posted May 11, 2006 I just got some custom ones made up, didn't cost much more than buying a kit to be honest and you can then have what ever length you desire.
Bonzai 2 Posted May 11, 2006 bonzai any chance you have an order no. or the likes to save me having to try and explain i'm fitting 307 brakes to a 205 bla bla bla they were custom made mate, i guess i was lucky in that whoever i spoke to at rallydesign knew a little bit about brake pipes. all i asked for was braided hoses for the front of a 1.9 GTI and the guy i spoke to said he would make them up and be approx £10.50 each which is what they billed me. i had goodridge previously and from memory they were 12 inches long. the ones i recieved are about 14inches long iirc (i havent got them with me to check unfortunately)
