Pas Ram Leaking

Recommended Posts

Bassman

Got the car up on ramps and have found my PAS leak. The fluid is coming out the top of the ram, I haven't removed it yet (had to buy a 55 TX bit), but will take it off tomorrow.

Can these rams be taken apart and re-sealed?

I was looking at one on eBay for a 306 which is identical, but it is at 41 quid now, anybody know what they go for at a scrappy?

Never taken one apart as I just replace them if needed, They come off without too much hassle but make sure you don;t break the metal pipes, I;ve got loads of good rams if needed

Many a time the bushes secuting the rams in fail and cause movement and leakage. If it isn't too far gone it may simply need new bushes.

As saveloy said could be worn bushes but they're nothing to replace

If it is the pipes and the bushes get them from pug, last time my pipes went the set they supply were greatly improved :)
