Bassman 1 Posted May 10, 2006 Got the car up on ramps and have found my PAS leak. The fluid is coming out the top of the ram, I haven't removed it yet (had to buy a 55 TX bit), but will take it off tomorrow. Can these rams be taken apart and re-sealed? I was looking at one on eBay for a 306 which is identical, but it is at 41 quid now, anybody know what they go for at a scrappy? Ta
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted May 10, 2006 Never taken one apart as I just replace them if needed, They come off without too much hassle but make sure you don;t break the metal pipes, I;ve got loads of good rams if needed
saveloy 8 Posted May 10, 2006 Many a time the bushes secuting the rams in fail and cause movement and leakage. If it isn't too far gone it may simply need new bushes.
